Yes, I do agree that people should have teh courage to say goodbye to the past. However, by that, I don't think it's necessarily true that you have to literally forget everything that ever happened between you and the girl. Because I believe that, no matter what happened, even if teh memory is painful, or seemingly not worth remembering, there's a lesson to be learned. I think this is why I've always kept a diary. I want to treasure my memories forever. And that's all memories, good or bad. I think to say good bye to teh past is to let go of the feelings that go with the memories, especially negative feelings.
