[short short story] Endless Love
She was standing frozen in front of the mirror, her eyes widened out of extreme
fear.Upon the mirror, the reflection depicted, horribly yet precisely, a scene
of the very reality. An enormous bat was clutching a half-perished skull, gazing
at her with an obvious smirk.
Seven seconds later, a weak shriek broke the seemingly serene silence of the
midnight.
"Vampire!You brutal vampire!"
Love's face distorted with absoulute panic. Her hands were shaking fiercely,
and her body trembling incontrollably. She watched, overwhelmed, as the giant
bat lurked towards her inch by inch. She strived to back off, only to find her
sweaty back against the cold, concrete wall.
She was CORNERED.
Her eyes closed with depression. No way was she ever to escape. The scary figure
of the bat grabbed its very fresh prey and flied out of the half-open window,
leaving the once inhabited cabin deserted forever.
Miles and miles away, a perfectly concealed castle lay solemnly beneath dark
cloud.A pale man in tuxedo formed an enchanting smile. His delicate face was,
however, intoxicated in sorrow.Word by word he murmured:
"Have you back, my Love.We should never ever drift apart."
Beside his slim figure, a beautiful as well as curvaceous body lay motionless
on the silver-embroidered sheets of an ancient four-poster bed, with, sadly,
no sign of life.
"We could have been immortal,"
"and we could have lived happily ever after."
the pale man whispered, as he polished up an exquisite coffin.
