Hi~
I'm taking MSEE in UT-Dallas now, but I don't really know SIU. I can only
share with you about UT-Dallas.
It's a pretty new and small school, so sometimes a course could just be
closed if they don't have more than ten students registered in that course.
That happens a lot, usually one or two courses per semester. Lots of Taiwanese
are in this school, but mostly major in MBA. Tuition is not very high, around
$6xxx for a 9 credit semester. Dallas is a boring place, but I would think
it's nice to live in. Feel casual and comfortable living here, but always need
a car to get around.
UT-Dallas's EE was once an institution for Texas Instruments, so there are
some good professors are retired from TI. I think I learned a lot of practical
knowledge from them. Oh, and a lot of the courses are held in the evening,
since there are lots of part time studnets and part time professors.
