while this is still a good advice to follow, the 80/20 rule should be
interpreted as follows:
it says: 80% of the important messages are in that 20% of the passages.
therefore, by focusing on those 20% of the paragraphs you will understand
80% of the meanings -- but this focus saves a lot of time by allowing you
to skip 80% of pages.
now, bear in mind that you will miss about 20% of the meanings through
this skipping, but that is a cost to pay for efficiency. XD
