As a post grad student, I go library frequently, so I know about the conditions mentioned by outofdejavu. If I can't find a book at the supposed spot, I'd look around to see if it is hidden somewhere in its neighbor shelves. I did found some, but most of the time I did't. Once in a while I'd ask librarians for help, but after I realized they can't really do much then looking around(like what I do ). I don't do that often. In addition, in my experience, none of the books in the forms I filled turned out to be found. So I didn't bother to fill out more forms... I learned it depends on one's luck about finding books in the library. Not getting books in need would make one more capable of finding alternative resourses. I agree with wnwangster on ideally ppl should leave books on the carts, and it is librarians' job to organise the shelves nicely. Just library(or world) does not always work this way. I guess I am not a positive user, but am glad to see a positive librarian here. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 118.165.232.135
