In my opinion I suggest you watch some cartoons or animations first.
Because they are quite simpler just compared to the general movies,
you are easy to understand the words they say without any problem.
Most movies and TV-series programs contains many slangs and idioms.
Even when you read the script, it is hard to understand.
So at first you need to choose simple conversation to get used to it.
After that you could progress to the advanced conversion.
