[Ask ] Extra-curricular?
Hi, sorry that I can't type the whole question as the title.
I want to know what can be called as an "extra-curricular experience".
I am now applying to a university, and they want me to tell them about an extr
a-curricular experience(travel,work experience,club,volunteer) that I had whic
h could demonstrate my suitability to study Japanese culture.
However, I am not sure what they meant. I have never learned Japanese before,
and I did not have participated in any activities about Japanese culture for y
ears, I am concerned about this.
What I can remember is that I went to Japan about 4 years ago, but it was noth
ing educational, it was just a 6-day trip. Also, I watch a lot anime, but that
wouldn't help me.
I met a Japanese student in 10th grade(I'm 12th grade now), he came to my high
school as a oversea field trip with all the other classmates. We chatted for
about an hour and we exchanged gifts. We tried to exchange our line id but it
didn't work. But now we don't keep in touch. Please tell me if I can write thi
s down as the extra-curricular essay(400words).
Or if you have any idea or suggestion, please let me know.
