上星期問了一個外國朋友, 他的解釋是 as is the case 是慣用語法
通常指的是用來舉例, 或是比喻某件事情. 常用於書信.
他舉的例子是
As is the case with BATMAN, Hollywood movies are often ...
另外從google也可以看到一些用法
