1和3的選項考的是"句意"，因為"文法"並沒有錯。

原題本意是指是: J做了連續18任的主席。

they指誰不重要，因為五個答案都有they，表示這個是一個正確的代名詞。
代名詞指示不清在GMAC來說並非主要考點。
代名詞只有在以下幾種狀況確定為考點:
1. 有代名詞出現，一定要有先行詞。(不能指代無物)
2. 代名詞一定要吻合先行詞的單複數。(agreement)
: 應該是指主要子句的主詞98 percent of men and 75 percent women，答案三有幾個問
: 題點:
: 1. 限定的被動分詞born...是短的限定分詞，不要補出關係代名詞和be動詞who were，
: 這是GMAC設計錯誤答案典型招式，這樣改只是讓句子結構複雜化
: 2. 修飾語誤置，by the time...原來是時間副詞擺在主要子句前修飾主要子句動詞
: attack，在第三個答案讀者會以為修飾動詞born
同意。
另外，修飾語要嘛就是"兩邊都有comma"，要嘛"就都不要有comma"，
沒見過只有"一邊有comma"在正確選項裡。
除非修飾語與另一個結構在一起:
ex. The boy from taipei, Taiwan, who got 800 in GMAT is smart.
