謝謝a大幫忙解題，小弟想提出一點疑問跟a大討論一下
: 解釋如下：
: 此題為infer題
: 由underground sewers定位到Edwin Chadwick led an exemplary urban crusade for
: underground sewers in England in the 1830s 這句話
: 我們可以知道，E.C 在1830s 的英國，領導一個示範的城市進行一場下水道的改革運動
: (A) They became common in most of Western Europe in the 1830s.
: 因為示範城市進行了這場運動，可以推論出其他城市很有可能也會隨之仿效
: 而且前一句有提到，在發現germs之前，他們認為疾病是由miasmas所導致的，促使他們
: 關注在下水道和開放式的垃圾場
: 所以，underground sewers 變得很常見是有可能的
我的想法是，因為E.C這個被當成典範，所以英國應該是第一個這麼做的，因此不應該是
歐洲其他國家也很普及不是嗎？
: (B) They helped reduce deaths caused by disease in cities.
: 這句對應到 Gradually, public health provisions began to cut into customary
: urban mortality rates.
: 但是這句話的主詞是public health provisions，而不是題目所問的 underground sewers
: 所指的對象錯誤
: 因此Ans. 為 (A)
我選Ｂ的原因是因為上述舉的很多例子，都使得疾病造成的死亡率改善，所以應該有包含
underground sewers，所以我才選B，不知道這個想法正不正確?
