The fundamental aim of this conference is to promote a supportive environment in which young researchers can exchange ideas on current themes and issues in Translation Studies. All postgraduate students of Translation and Interpreting are welcome! Please note places are limited to so book early to avoid disappointment! Guest Speakers Prof Mona Baker Professor of Translation Studies at the University of Manchester will present the following paper: "Consensual and/vs Conflictual Scholarship - Positioning the Researcher in Translation Studies" Prof Ian Mason Professor of Interpreting and Translation at Heriot-Watt University, will offer hands-on advice on preparing and writing academic papers for publication and/or oral presentation.
