Actually I don't think there's any consensus of ranking among master's programs of FE at all. The original URL's ranking is totally ridiculous. I don't wanna make any comment on any other schools, but how could they rank Princeton'd ORFE at #9 during 2003-04, when ORFE de facto terminated its master's program of Financial Engineering, and turned their focus on Operations Research "more than two years ago"? Where did they put the current 2-year MIF program of Bendheim Center, the only bona fide FE program at Princeton that is mainly supported by Econ Dept.? BTW, I've never heard of the so-called "top-4" schools in FE, not even my old friendss on Wall Street who's been doing quant jobs for years. But I DO agree with arbitrageur's comment of "there's no shortcut to a real quant job other than a formal PhD education."
