I think it depends. I love my Chinese name, I really do. And during the years I have struggled with my own Identity. I admire those who use their own name. It's so representable. ^^ But at the end of the day... "If I cannot even pronounce my name properly in English, how can I expect a foreigner to pronounce it?" E.g. Hsin <-- excuse me? is there such a pronounciation in English? -___- In contrast, names like Ying, Mei, An etc etc can be used without problem. Therefore it depends. But as a sign of gratitude to my name. My English name will not be found on ANY legal documents whatsoever. English name = a nickname. Just for the sake of easy reference. -- "To love and win is the best thing. To love and lose, the next best." ~Thackeray -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 203.51.22.186
