I have an ignorant thought. If, somehow, I can prove that value-belief oriented will win in the long-term, Will I gain the Victory and affect others? (I don't want the victory, I just want to see a peaceful world because the suffering just hurts me. I am sensational) (yet I doubt I can gain the victory...coz I know a lot of people who put integrity first and insist their belief system lost certain amount of benefits for sure, and I am one of them. I am one of those so called "stupid people" in some sneaky people's eyes.) I think this is an unending battle in humanity. Is the truth detached from the human world? What if, in the chess, or in normal life, the process is not the goal, instead, winning the game is the goal, then it doesn't matter whether you are value-oriented or rational oriented. As long as it gains the same result of a win-win situation, then it's fine. ps. I think I am more sensational than rational. If I can gain the rational part, then I might have more power to follow and insist those idealism in this world. I am struggling through this world to figure out my path too. : ※ 引述《serveto (〈ψ︱A︱ψ〉)》之銘言: : : rational choice theory : : http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/economics/#5 : : individual rationality: : : the barebones theory of rationality takes the agent's preferences : : (rankings of objects of choice) to be rational if they are complete and : : transitive : : collective rationality and social choice : : although societies are very different from individuals, they evaluate : : alternatives and make choices, which may be rational or irrational. : : game theory : : when outcomes depend on what several agents do, one agent's best choice : : may depend on what other agents choose. although the principles of : : rationality governing individual choice still apply, arguably there are : : further principles of rationality governing expectations of the actions : : of others : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rationality : the German sociologist Max Weber proposed an interpretation of social action : that distinguished between four different types of rationality. the first, : which he called Zweckrational or purposive/instrumental rationality, is : related to the expectations about the behavior of other human beings or : objects in the environment. these expectations serve as means for a particular : actor to attain ends, ends which Weber noted were "rationally pursued and : calculated." the second type, Weber called Wertrational or value/belief- : oriented.
