[文法] 請問一個句子的文法
版友好，我在原文課本上看到一個句子，文法不是很懂
Adding them in terms of components proceeds as in the elementary case thanks
to the axioms.
中文的意思大概是：以相加分量的方式來相加它們(向量)，就像按照基本狀況中定理
所定義的方式去進行相加
我比較不解的是，proceeds和thanks都是動詞，怎麼可以把兩個動詞放在一個句子裡呢？
thanks的主詞是甚麼呢？
難不成thank在這邊並非動詞嗎？ n.？ prep.？
我查了一下thanks to的用法，查到dr.eye裡頭有一例句：
It was thanks to your timely help that we accomplished the task on time.
這句我也不是很懂，這邊的thanks如果是動詞的話怎麼可以和was連在一起？
