[文法] 請問一個句子的文法
我最近在讀文法書 但是書中的一個句子看不懂
書中討論到分詞構句時 舉了下例

My father, a pipe in his mouth, is in deep thought.
{ a pipe (being) in his mouth }
= My father, with a pipe in his mouth, is deep in thought.

我完全看不懂作者的意思 >_<
第一句my father, a pipe in...
fatherc和pipe不能當同位語 為什麼可以這樣寫啊
又..... 第一句如何變成第三句的 為什麼會多一個with
請幫忙解惑 感激不盡
