",and"是連接兩個獨立子句用法 : : "when" 是adv conj 連接從屬子句,和main clause有 dependent 概念 : : 所以, and when 是錯的? : : 感恩感恩 :) : when 本身就有當作連接詞的作用 : Often visible as smog, ozone is formed in the atmosphere : --> 此句話已經敘述完畢 : 而後面 two major pollutants emitted by automobiles, react with sunlight : 是新的句子所以 when 要當連接詞使用連接上面兩個句子 : 如果要用 and when + 子句，那前面應該 : 也要有一樣的 which/where/how 的子句做平行才對 : 否成就會變成雙重連接詞感謝D大，這裡補充一點D大沒講詳細，可能導致同學疑惑的地方：要先確認when 在邏輯意思與文法結構上屬什麼子句，才能知道該用什麼樣的子句平行。 when有可能是 1. 副詞子句修飾句子動作發生的情況這種時候用how平行就怪了， When he ran in my room, and how...., I was taking a shower.就很怪。 2. 形容詞子句修飾名詞這種時候如果連結的是where 也有點怪，因為平行是共享先行詞但是when/where/how修飾的先行詞概念不太一樣，比如 the year when she died and where... 就是屬於錯誤意義的句型。 3. 名詞子句做「某某事情發生的時間」這種時候不只有可能接where/which/how，還有可能接同是名詞子句的that/whether子句比如The things I want to know are when he arrived and whether he bought ticket for us. 邏輯意義跟文法意義都是正確的。 Dustin -- Dustin Deng (一戰自修760，AWA 5.5) Verbal 機經使用技巧： danyuchn@gmail.com -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 220.132.133.16
