[英中] 幾個問題請教
有位朋友請我幫忙翻譯外國老師的文章
雖然字數很少，但有些小短句讓我很苦惱
所以上來請教版友看有沒有更好的譯法
1. There is nothing more fundamentally important to our future than
an understanding of XXX
我把它翻成：對於我們的未來而言，認識XXX是件極其重要的事情
2. his dissertation and the resulting book
翻成：他的論文以及....(待補)
resulting book 的意思是 作者把論文出版成書籍
但苦惱的是，我想不到好的中文詞彙接在"以及"後面
3. This book is a substantial contribution and an important read for all
who are interested in this field
翻成：對此領域感興趣的讀者們，
本書是一部具有重大貢獻且重要的著作
（似乎有點不順口）
