[英中] 請問這句怎麼翻比較正確
It is important to note that in many of the above mentioned cases, even
though the charges were brought against companies in the US and UK, the
corrupt activites that led to those charges actually occured in other
countries such as Brazil, Indonesia and Egypt.
以下是我目前的翻法：
請注意，雖然在許多上述提及之案例中，被提出指控之公司位於美國及英國，但
實際上導致這些指控的貪腐行為卻發生在巴西、印尼及埃及等其他國家。
想請教版友，有關第二句的部分，翻成「這些公司是於美國及英國被提出指控」會
不會比較好？文意上好像不論 in the US and UK 是用來形容 charges were
brought against companies 或單純形容 companies 都解釋得通？畢竟要對某國的
公司提出指控，通常也必須到該國去？
想知道法律上一般會如何對這句話進行理解/翻譯，非常感謝！
