提供一個有趣的數據，以下是用 google (in English) 搜尋的結果，k 代表 kilo "mother language" 256k "mother tongue" 3270k "native language" 5220k "first language" 3050k "arterial language" 776 在 Longman 的線上英文辭典只有 mother tongue 跟 first language 有解釋。 不過在 Oxford 字典查 mother language 解釋是 = mother tongue 而 mother tongue 的解釋是 One's native language; a first language.
